TAG CELEBRATED BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF PAI TIATRIST JOAO AGOSTINHO FERNANDES
Tiatr Academy of Goa TAG celebrated the Birth Anniversarry of Pai Tiatrist late Joao Agostinho Fernandes on Wednesday, the 14th December, 2016 at Pai Tiatrist Auditorium, Ravindra Bhavan, Margao at 3.30 PM. On the occasion, 5 eminent Tiatr personalities were conferred with TAG’s Life Time Contribution to Tiatr(Commercial) Awards, 2016 for their immense contribution to Tiatr, viz.
1) Annie Quadros
2) Anthony San (Jose Antonio Agostinho Fernandes)
3) Hortencio Pereira (Hortencio Saluzinho Eduardo Vaz e Pereira)4) John De Nuvem, (Joao Tertuliano Carvalho)
5) Meena Leitao (Postmously). (Guilhermina Leitao)
Meena was nominated/selected for the award along with others on 7th Oct 2016, sadly she died a month later i.e. on 11.11.16

Shri Avertano Furtado, Hon. Minister for Fisheries & Labour, Govt. of Goa was the Chief Guest while Shri Damodar Naik, Chairman of Ravindra Bhavan, Margao the Guest of Honour. Sharmila Fernandes, granddaughter of Pai Tiatrist late Joao Agostinho Fernandes as Special Invitee.
