Meena, as I knew her, was a typical English speaking madam at high school.
Never heard her speaking Konkani.
When I first heard of her acting in tiatr, I said 'no way' it must be some other Meena
Really, I did not believe until I saw her acting on stage in a tiatr.

Meena first stepped on the tiatr stage in Ligorio Fernandes’ Khell-Tiatr ‘Apounnem’. Then she went on to act in late Christopher Leitao’s first Khell-Tiatr ‘Monis Vo Monzat?’ who later on became her life partner. They formed their own company ‘Chris-Meena Productions’ and went on to produce many Khell-Tiatrs and Tiatrs which they jointly directed. After the untimely death of her husband Meena very soon stood on her own and her talent was well recognized and she acted for almost all the directors of those days like Prem Kumar, M. Boyer, Remmie Colaco, etc.
