Tragedy King Tiatrist Mario Menezes suddenly died on 25th June 2022 (29.5.1960 - 25.6.2022). Died at night around 1am at Chiplun on the way to Mumbai by train. He along with Menino de Bandar troupe were going to Mumbai to stage 4 Tiatr shows of Pai Tiatrist directed by Menino de Bandar
Funeral took place at Chinchinim Church on 29.6.22 3.30pm
Huge crowd about 1300 including many Tiatrists (Tiatr actors).

Till date, he remains one of the most popular singers and composers of Konkani songs (of the cantaram category), and is routinely broadcast on the Panaji or Panjim station of All India Radio (Akashvani), the prominent state-funded broadcaster. Tiatr Academy writes.. Francisco Bringel popularly known as 'young Chico' left for his heavenly abode on 2nd January 2019, after a brief illness. Young Chico was born to on 26th January, 1952.He was a lover of Tiatr since his childhood was rightly called the “Man with Golden Voice” who has rendered many Konkani songs in more known for his songs ‘Nouro’ he had a rich voice that listeners usded to long to hear him. He has sung for artistes of yester years. Topmost directors of tiatr stage namely C. Alvares, M. Boyer, Remmie Colaco, Prem Kumar, Alfred Rose, Bab Peter, Tony Martin, Chris Perry, Kid Boxer, etc. young Chico has sung on several audio cassettes and has produced many of his own. He was also felicitated by the 125th Anniversary of Tiatr Celebrations Committee and Tiatr Academy Goa his contribution to tiatr. Young Chico will be remembered as an artiste who made tiatr performances meaningful and brilliant with his professionalism and selfless work.
